Robin Amato

Robin Amato, born and raised in Charlottesville, Virginia, has always been proud to be a Virginian. Robin’s real estate career started in 1979. She knew early on she wanted a career in Real Estate. Just before graduating from High School, Robin represented Western Albemarle High School at an Open House for Charlottesville-Albemarle Technical Education Center’s (CATEC) first student-built home offered for sale. That experience led to the beginning of her 27-year Residential Real Estate Sales career. During that time, Robin earned her designations as a GRI, CRS and CRB. She specialized in general brokerage, new construction, land development, and sales as a sales manager at Forest Lakes and Old Trail.

In 2008, Robin expanded into Commercial Real Estate, specializing full-time in leasing and sales, as well as representing landlords, tenants, sellers, and buyers in the Charlottesville – Albemarle - Central Virginia Commercial Real Estate market. She holds the CCIM designation and is an Associate Broker. With deep roots in her community, she became involved over the years volunteering for many nonprofit organizations such as Women United in Philanthropy, Thomas Jefferson Area United Way, Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, CATEC, Senior Center, and Virginia Festival of the Book.

Professionally, Robin serves and has served on numerous committees and task forces for the Virginia Association of REALTORS® and Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS®; Policy Board, Board of Directors, Commercial Council, VHDA REALTOR Advisory Board, MLS, Grievance, Ethic, Professional Standards, Past Presidents and Strategic Planning.

Robin has been awarded the REALTOR® of The Year and Salesperson of The Year awards by the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS® (CAAR).In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golf, scuba diving and devotes a lot of time to her dog, Noodle’s, social life.
